Subject: Dallas Filming of GCB

For all of you Texas Tarts, or those interested in taking a road trip to Dallas, here's the filming information for GCB as posted on the Dallas Film Commission website.

An "extras" casting call has been announced for all ages (wonder if they will take boa-covered ladies?). The pilot will begin filming on March 19th and continue until the first week of April. No exact location is given, just "Dallas area". They also have crew positions available.

The book (hysterically funny) does not (at least imo) poke fun at Christianity or any other religion ftm. It pokes fun at THIS PARTICULAR GROUP of upper middle class/lower upper class women.

They purport themselves to be very good Christians. However, most of their time in church is spent gossiping, figuring who paid what for which, who has a "real" vs a "faux" whatever, whose husband/wife is stepping out, whose kid didn't get into the good college, you get the picture. The author was not poking fun at religion but at the hypocrisy.

It was all played for laughs, as I submit the casting of HAE and Kristin Chenoworth to play a couple was also.
