I'd like to get the DVD of Rainbow Tribe, but I wanted to check on the message. I think I remember reading that DJE's character (or the kids at camp, or both) were cancer patients. So, how is the ending of it? Is it a tear jerker, or does it end OK (or at least optimistically)? After all we've been through in the past year--leukemia, bone marrow transplant--I don't want to watch anything downbeat. I'm happy to report that so far, all is going well, and DH is approaching 10 months since the transplant, but I'm still not at the point where I want to watch anything cancer-connected that's gloomy. Can anyone give me info on this? Thanks!

DJE's character does have cancer, and his situation is not definitely resolved. He goes back to be counselor at a summer camp where he himself had gone as a boy, rather than get another round of chemo. Dealing with the boys and their problems take his mind off his. The ending is sweet, with his wife helping him out and delivering some good news at the very end.
