It's been a while, but I finally got some quality birding in the Lima area on Wed. At the Lima reservoirs I was unable to find anything significant other than a Caspian Tern at Lost Creek Reservoirs. Lost Creek and Bresler are both getting a tad low, if rainfall is light they could prove good for late shorebirds soon; and probably early shorebirds next spring. No shorebird habitat at Grand Lake St. Mary's and surprisingly no terns. The Van Wert Reservoirs were a little better with three solitary sandpipers on one of the settling ponds (is that an oxymoron?). All in all I got a relaxing break from my work down here in Dayton.
