Nothing wrong with the Mustang II on a full fendered car, as long as it's driven!

My dad has all the Heidts MII stuff for his '33 in the box. He's finishing up his Willy's Jeep, then on to the '33. He wanted to keep the straight axle, but the steering had too much slop and the car rode like shit over 30mph, so he said to hell with it and got the MII stuff. Just coils, and regular stamped control arms, like your dads.

Tell yo pops to keep up the work, looks like he's on his way to ruling the streets!
