I did some reading.

These lifters come out after the cam is removed. You have to pull the lifters up and away from the cam, remove the cam, then let the lifters fall out through the block. If you have the motor on a stand, flip it upside down, pull the lifters away from the cam, remove the cam, and then push the lifters up through the block.

I had no idea that they worked like that, but I never bothered to look and figured they were like every other fucking engine, haha.

Again, I stress, John Mummert's Ford-Y-Block.com site is the best out there, and his parts are top notch. I suggest a new cam & lifters, even if you just want a stock grind. If not, like any other motor, be sure to organize and arrange the lifters, and put them back into the same holes they came out of.
