Subject: Latest Coupster Update

So I got my model A axle back from the guy who dropped it and GOD DAMN if it ain't bad ass. I tossed it under the chassis with a donated Model A front spring, new spring plate & U-Bolts from "Welder Series" and they are top notch. Put my split '47 wishbones on, new upper steering hoop, bolted on the spindles, brakes and wheels. Still gotta heat & bend the lower steering arms to compensate for the dropped axle and get the tie rod down under the 'bones.

Earlier today I ran into Austin and borrowed Mike Walkers engine hoist and put my Y-Block between the frame rails to get the weight on the chassis so I can set up the front & rear suspension while it's loaded. I went ahead and put my vintage T-Bird valve covers and my Edmunds intake and Stromberg 97 carbs on the motor cause it had to look cool in the pictures. Yes the stock crossover pipe exhaust it still bolted up, but I'll bolt my header flanges and build some headers after the body is on and the motor is in place. I also bought a vintage "Hurst" front motor mount for a Y-Block, so chalk it up for another score on a vintage hot rod part!

Here's some pics I took tonight... (Don't mind the tires, they are low on air, heh)
