Subject: What do you guys think?

What do ya'll think about a weekly/bi-weekly hot rod hangout on say Saturday night in a parking lot somewhere in South Austin or wherever? I quit going to the Dog & Fuck because it's on a Monday night and that's just stupid. I know my shop would be great but it's just too far away and if for some reason I had different plans, I wouldn't be there to host it, as would anyone who hosted something like that at their place. But a parking lot or business would be fine.

When I was in high school the local Sonic, or Car Wash parking lot was FULL, and I mean FULL, of cars. From old hot rods, to Mustangs & Camaros, to Imports and motorcycles. It was awesome. Even today, every friday and saturday night in Corpus Christi you can find atleast 50-100 people hanging out in a parking lot talking about cars and setting up street races. Sure it's not really "hot rods" like what we're into, but cars are cars. Houston was even crazier with 500+ cars parked in a huge shopping center parking lot. There's nothing like that around Austin or San Antonio these days aside from Military Drive where street racers run the roads and lowriders sit in the parking lots along the southeast sector.

I miss those times.
