Subject: Stuff I've done lately

Well, the truck had been on the back burner...scratch that... the truck was no where near the stove for a couple of months while I was going nuts getting ready for that Artstrada Magazine show, then ROT Rally, then poverty and exhaustion. The past few days, I've decided to go ape shit and get that thing on the road.

Here's what's been happening in my dirty garage the past few days: Fabricated some straps and welded them into the cab so I could install the fuel tank. Got that in and ran the fuel line through the floor, dropped the drive shaft in preparation for the tranny to move back to install my rear main seal, ( I may need extra hands for that if anyone is interested. I don't own a tranny jack and I don't trust my floor jack), I found the alternator bracket under a mountain of beer cans and styrofoam peanuts, painted it and installed the alternator, got the fan and pulleys put back on the engine, installed the radiator, replaced the radiator supports on the front clip, installed my fancy metal flake steering wheel and shiny new chrome horn button, screwed my new fuse block to the firewall and routed all the wires for the front of the truck.

Side note about that... I got all my high beam, low beam, horn, fan, parking lights and blinker wires nicely zip tied together and screwed wire loom straps to the inner fenders. It looked wonderful! Then I remembered that my blinkers/parking lights are in the hood. Bummer. So, I had to undo it all and reroute shit into a separate loom, then do it all again. Live and learn.

What's everyone else been up to?
