Subject: Stephen Shows His Ass to the World....

For those of you who weren't at the "Support your troops" show last night at the Hole in the Wall, I'll update ya. Stephen from the Hell Bent Clit Hoods tried to pick a fight with me. He was being his usual belligerent, meat head self and tried to call me out into the parking lot. He tried to get me to throw down with him.

Personally, I think that's retarded. I've been in a shit load of fights in my life, but I'm done with that now. Sure, I've been provoked in the past, but last night, common sense and good judgment prevailed. Because of that, I posted the following on MySpace as a bulletin. I've already received a bunch of replies in support of me and our club as a whole. Apparently, we've already earned some credibility and a good reputation among clubs from other areas. I'm glad to hear it. Let's keep it that way. So, here is what I posted on a MySpace bulletin:

*********************************************************

At what point did a small percentage of classic car owners decide they were in it to be "tough guys?" You've seen them at shows, walking around like they're daring someone to cross paths with them. They've had shirts printed, so now they're a gang.

As for the Kreatures (and I think I speak for all of us when I say this), all we want to do is work on cars, go to music shows, be a band of brothers and generally just have fun. Like it says on our profile, "If you want to hang out with us, just get in touch, bring your old car and a 12 pack, and leave your attitude at home."

The reason I bring this up is because tonight at a benefit show, the President of another club tried to pick a fight with me in a bar at a show that he was hosting. Why? Because I couldn't pinstripe at another show that he was hosting because I couldn't get the time off work. Silly shit, if you ask me.

Personally, I'm not going to throw fists with anyone unless they've attacked me or they're threatening my loved ones. Mostly that's because I did something along the way that the other guy never did. I grew up. I'm not gonna meet him after school by the flag pole and see who can make whom eat dirt until someone says "uncle".

Car clubs are just that...CAR clubs. Not fight clubs. If you want to be a bad ass, that's your right. Go to prison and find out if you're as tough as you think you are. But don't expect ANYONE to respect you for it. It only makes you look like an idiot. And DEMANDING respect for your club is asinine. Respect is earned, not demanded. The more you slam fists and act like a child having a temper tantrum, the less respect you deserve. Period.

I won't mention names or even the other club. I have no beef with the other club as a whole, but their President showed his ass in public today. I really hope that his prospects think about how that reflects on the entire club.

I vote that we all get back to what we should be. What our fathers and Grandfathers were, back in the day. A group of people with like interests who can network, help each other out, have some fun along the way and enjoy the hobby.

Peace and grease
Dart
President; Kreatures CC Austin.

************************************************************

I hope I wasn't out of line by saying those things, but I truly believe that as a club, we pretty much all hold those values. It explains what we wanted as a club from the beginning. If any Kreature or prospect calls out a member of another club in public and tries to pick a fight, he will be in the wrong. I'm really happy with the crew we have right now and I hope to find more guys like you all to bring into the group.

Take care,
Dart
