I've become a lot more passive in my old(er) age, but I'm stil of the opinion that sometimes it can't be ignored. If he's just being a drunken fool, then you're the better man. If he's insulting your family, credibility, your ol' lady, or your pride, the he's better off in a body bag. I would have just taken my shirt/jacket off and proceeded to whip his ass. =)
