Subject: Good news, bad news

The good news is that I got rid of the rotted bed from the '62. It was so bad that I actually GAVE it away on craigslist just to get it out of my way. Other good news is that I got the home made shock mounts off and reconnected the shocks where they're supposed to be. Now the bad news. That engine is locked up like the pistons are welded in. I put some penetrating oil in there, hoping that would help but I think it's toast. I think he may have gotten the motor so hot that it warped the cylinders and they're squeezing the pistons in place. I'll try again tomorrow after the penetrating oil has a chance to soak in, but I don't have high hopes. Fortunately it's a 350, so I can buy a new one at 7-11 in a bubble pack right next to the beef jerkey and hairbrushes.
