Subject: Got V's truck running

Looks like ol' "Brutus" will be at the roundup. I replaced the armature/reluctor and the pickup/stator. I had to go to the hardware store and get a couple of nylon bushings and alter them a bit. The pickup plate was slightly wrong for the distributor, but I got it all together and he fired right up. All that's left is to replace a brake light switch and get the wiper control cable and he'll be a good driver. Vanessa did one helluva job wiring under the hood. Everything was right and works great. I can't take credit for a single wire to the module, regulator, alternator, solenoid or coil. She did every bit of that. To my credit, though, the lights, ignition switch and blinkers all work. I did that part. It was also my job to clean up all the wiring and loom it all together to look nice. We're patting ourselves on the back pretty hard. All together, I think it took about 12-15 total hours to rewire the whole truck. Now to replace the carb on the Edsel.....
