HOLY SHIT!! That's gotta fuckin' suck to be THAT guy adjusting the carbs. Mother....

Ya know, we have lots of "near misses" when we get together for build days. I've had to be walked to a garden hose for shit in my eyes, sun burned my face spot welding without a hood, Bob's almost put a cutting blade through his hand twice, etc.

Safety first. If you're not comfortable and safe when you're working, then you need to change something up to make it that way. Z87 shades, face shields, GLOVES, and any additional personal protective equipment is all well worth the money. Be safe.
