I fit the piping, and then after tack welding the coupling on to the top bottle, I welded it out, then can back in and drilled through the tank inside the coupling w/ a long 1/2" drill bit. Without a whole lot of layout on the tank, it was the only way to ensure overlap with the coupling and the tank penetration.
