Let's see....Friday, I worked from 5:30am to about 7:30pm. Saturday, I worked a half day, then went to Stephen and Baby's house for a little get-together for those of us who couldn't afford to go to PnP. That was a lot of fun.

Sunday, I got busy on the Sledsel. I swapped the carb for the one on Vanessa's truck. It's the same carb, just a newer version. I had to relocate my coil to the firewall and use a bit of po-boy engineering to make the linkage work, but it went on. I also pulled the filter on the fuel pump and blasted it out with brake clean. I cleaned out the interior and trunk and gave them both a good pass with the shop-vac. I pulled off my negative battery cable that was busted up and replaced it, then topped off all the fluids.

I think my fuel pump is the source of my woes. I looked at my clear fuel filter while the car was idling and it's only spitting fuel occasionally. The car is running on fumes most of the time, then gets the random gurgle of gas. It's making it impossible to get my mixtures consistent on the carb. It runs lean, then rich, then lean, then rich. I'll replace the pump some time this week and cross my fingers.

That's about it for me. I may call in to work today. I got about an hour and a half of sleep last night (damned insomnia). If I do, I'll go back to bed for a few hours, then swap that pump. I may start stripping chrome off the body as well, getting it ready for some body work.
