Dennis, I'm sorry that you feel as if we weren't acting as a club. Personally, I felt as if we were FINALLY acting as a club. You are the one that has constantly said you don't even care about being in a club. Now you're ranting that we aren't ENOUGH of a club. Everyone seems stoked about this but you. I said at the meeting that if one person can't make it, we can still do this. If too many can't make it, then we'll figure something else out. We took an informal "is that cool with everyone" vote and we decided on that day. It's not that "no one gave two shits". It's just that, in order to have anything planned without it conflicting with anyone's schedule and without conflicting with other events going on, we would have to schedule shit for the Fall of 2027. We had to compromise and we decided, as a group, on that date.

This isn't a rush. I used to put on a WEEKLY music show at the Jackpot Saloon in Kansas. I had to book bands and promo each week's lineup. I did it alone. I didn't have the help of a club to back me. It can be easily done. This isn't the Roundup we're talking about here. This is a gaggle of cars and a couple of bands in a cafe parking lot. This is not a problem. Why does everything have to be a big issue? We don't need 4 months of planning and 35 committee meetings to have some people show up in a parking lot and watch a few good bands.

As for the name, I'm sorry we didn't get to vote on that. That was my bad, but I was anxious to get the ball rolling and got overly excited about coming up with the graphics. Again, this is just some goofy shit in a cafe parking lot. We can call it something else next time. You pick.

If you feel like this is a "so called club", then tell me what you'd do differently. Aside from voting on the name for the show? (which I've already said I fucked up on). I've always said that I welcome positive criticism. I do know how to take suggestions when the are presented to me in a way that doesn't sound like I'm being reamed out.

To address your point of checking with the Corpus guys ahead of time, this is an Austin Chapter fund raiser. Not that I'm excluding anyone, but I know those guys can't drive several hours to every fund raiser we have. When they have fund raisers down there, we won't be able to make it to all of theirs either. That's WHY we are two chapters instead of one. We are too far apart to perpetually act as a single unit. This is just a fund raiser, not a national event. Relax a bit.

I'm sorry you didn't think Stephen was welcome. I know you had your issues with him in the past, but he's not some "Double-Naught Spy" trying to steal Kreatures secrets. He's one of the guys. He's a friend to some of us. He's helped me with my Edsel a lot lately and asked me if he could hang out and maybe get some ideas for his new club. I didn't think it would be a problem for me to allow my friend to be at my house. Maybe we should hold secret meetings from now on. Several of the Voodoo Dolls often sit in on our meetings. What's the difference?

NOW: You have said in the past that you are allowed to say anything you want to anyone you want and anyone that doesn't like it can "fuck off". Well, I'm going to play by your rules for a minute. I'm not going to be a diplomat. If you have issues with me, address me directly. Call me and talk it over. If you're not happy with the club, try to make positive changes instead of perpetually being the one negative influence in our group. If you want this to be a club full of members who, like you, say anything they want and everyone else can fuck off, then this will be the most miserable, unhappy, unproductive melodrama troupe in the country. If you're so upset about the way this club is working, no one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to be a member. If any of that is unclear, let me know. Alternately, if you don't like the way things are working out, take a vote and vote me out of the club. I'll stand by whatever the majority of the members say. Is that perfectly clear as well? If not, let me know. Otherwise, talk to me about issues in a positive manner. Show me the courtesy and respect of talking to me like I'm an adult. If you refuse to do that, then there will be no discussion.

Right here, right now, I'm asking all members; Should we cancel this show? Who here thinks we can't pull it off in time? Who here is unhappy with the way this club is growing and coming together? If YOU ALL, as a club think that I'm fucking everything up, tell me and I'll step down and leave you all to go on the way you'd rather have it. If you think, like I do, that we are a generally good bunch of guys who are making something of this club, then tell me that, too. I'll be happy and proud to continue as your president.

Jon, sorry to hear about the expensive formula for your youngin. If I can do anything to help out, let me know.
