Sanibel is a beautiful and special place but I think Captiva would be considered more romantic. With that being said, the islands are different since hurricane Charley (might want to check your reading source). Perhaps Tween Waters would be a Captiva accomodating to check out or not sure what your budget is but South Seas is opening soon. I would think the resort will be complete with all the luxuries one could imagine!
