Subject: BEACHES

Hi, I've been to sanibel a few time and have a couple questions about the beaches. I've noticed the east end beaches are have a much more gradual incline than the west end beaches and you can walk way out past the sandbars at low tide. The west end beaches like bowman's and the beach area by tropical winds seems to get deeper much quicker. Are all west end beaches like this? Are the beaches at the western end of West gulf in the residental area the same way? What about the Captiva beaches? Is the public beach at the end of captiva drive like this? I have a young son and would like to know which beaches tend to drop off quicker and which are more gradual
