I DO NOT THINK JB IS SEELIE OR UNSEELIE. HE TELLS MAC THAT IF THE UNSEELIE GRAB HER, HE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO FOLLOW. ADAM SAID THAT WHEN YOU SIFT YOU LEAVE A RESIDUE THAT CAN BE FOLLOWED. THAT IS WHY HE KEPT PLAYING PING PONG TO THROW HIS TRAIL. WHERE IS THE QUEEN. IS SHE STILL WITH THE UNSEELIE KING, UNABLE TO CALL HER SELF AWAY.I ALSO THINK JB WALKS AROUND PRETTY SURE THAT HE IS SAFE AND WILL STAY THAT WAY. PERHAPS HE HAD BLOOD ON HIS HAND TO CALL FORTH A BERSERKER RAGE?

I don't think JB is fae either, I am with the cursed theory! As far as the queen I think she may be with the Dark King so that is another reason why I don't beleive that V'Lane is Seelie. -- Cheryle

If JB was a fae wouldn't he freeze when Mac touched him? I know for sure that she touched him when he carried her back to the bookstore when she was hurt.

Love your theory Angelia, Adam made the beserkers, however, one sign of a beserker is the shiney, blue eyes and JB has dark eyes. ;) You never know though, can't wait for Bloodfever. -- Maria

Grimm is one of my favorite men and JB has some traits that remind me of Grimm. Grimm had to be forced to claim his mate. JB is attracted to Mac but won't act on it. The relationship between the 2 pairs remind of each other. I had much rather the blood on his hand be because of berserker rage than other options but he does not have those eyes. Maybe he was feeding the shades small animals? but it was human blood...Mac said she found out later so I guess we will have to wait to get the true answer. In the mean time, I enjoy all the theories. I still go back to the tattoos on Cian and JB saying he would tatoo Mac when and where he pleased. Isn't that an old Druid practice against black magic-Darroc & the un-seelie? Any ideas? Will Oct ever come? Will questions be answered or more questions created? Somehow, I don't think Karen is going to be that nice to us to answer all our questions!! I hope not! I love the suspense of the story and interchage between us ladies.

I agree he does not have the ice blue eyes I don't think he is beserker either and being beserker still does not give us the answer to why they are ancient. Berserkers still die. You asked where is the queen? I think she is stuck 5 years in the past. Somewhere it said the fae could no longer sift in time (that is in the present time of Darkfever). The queen in Spell talked about the events that were going to happen in 5 years and that is why she is getting her 5 players in place. Since the fae can not move forward in time, she must be the queen from the future. She's stuck in the past because she can no longer sift time and that is why she has disappeared from the Darkfever present.

Two observations:
1. In going back and rereading "Dreaming" for the 5th time, it says the unseelie King cannot walk in the mortal world (paraphased) That is why He has his Vengance. So that would elimanate anybody in Dublin being the King-Darroc. (my 2 cents Darrroc is a fallen Fae trying to profit & have power where he can)
2. Isn't Queen Abby still with the King in "His velvet arms"? She almost got lost there once before, is she lost again or keeping Him busy so she can get her players set up? Does the King have a new Veng. since he lost Aidone? Is He keeping the Queen busy so he can get his players lined up? I think there is more than just amazing sex going on. These two are trying to outbest the other and if some toe curling sex can be had that is all the better. There is definitely a method to both of their madness, a far reaching method. They have too long of a history to just be enjoying each other.

Well Darroc is definately a fallen fae and became so at the end of Immortal. I agree with you that Queen Abby and the King are definately trying to do something. JB has to be definitely good!! how else will he and Mac get together? Like some of KMM prevoius heroes; bad boys do & go good!!! (but not TOO good!) still got to have that bad boy appeal, dangerous but WELL worth the trouble.
