I have visited this board but once before and I've just re-read To Tame a Highland Warrior. I'd like to share a thought or two. I don't know if this was mentioned before and sorry to repeat if I am. Gavrael & Jillian's three sons, triplets are an altered Beserker. History of the Central Hall confirmed that although there were some families with many children, none appeared to be multiple births. Twins. Triplets. Quads. Jillian carries something into the equation that she's not aware of. Eyecolor in beserkers do not change until puberty, from brown to ice-blue. These three lads already have ice-blue eyes as infants. They sense the presence of their mother long before they see her, and look up as one. Ronin, the grandfather & Gavrael, the father conclude that this has never happen in the McIlloch history ever. Gavrael admits there is something very different in him, or is there something very different in Jillian. I think JB is one of these lads grown. So, when do we meet up with the other two ? Also, Adam made reference at one time to a race, but didn't give much credit to the folklore... I think these three are proof to the theory that race in question does exist. Re- read for yourself the last page of TO TAME...the EPILOGUE. Thanks for the venting space...

[> OK. I bought Tame. All I can say right now (I'm still reading it) is that I think you're right. JB resembles a Berserker! I admit I was hoping for something altogether different. Still, it's cool. In Tame, the issue of losing one's soul as a Berserker is not dealt with cleanly. (I haven't finished it yet). I get the feeling (from the teasers) that JB thinks that he is damned. Being damned doesn't come across as strongly for Grimm - at least as far as I have read. And Grimm doesn't have an issue with daylight, as JB seems to have. -- claudia_celestial_girl "Want to Drive?"
