The Miss Mexico show that's on Univision tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 19, is a kind of "meet the contestants" show. It's scheduled from 3-5 eastern time.

The pageant itself takes place Sunday night, Sept. 20th. Not sure if there is a webcast or not.

The Miss Mexico pageant (Nuestra Belleza Mexico) will be on Univision next Saturday afternoon from 1-3 eastern, followed by Miss Venezuela from 3-5. Check your local listings!

I am fairly new to this board but I have a question for all you PC pros. I will be competing in a state level Miss USA pageant for the first time and want to bring my A game! I have competed for teen but am nervous about making the move to Miss. I believe I have the right gown, swimsuit, and am prepared for interview. My only concern is my hair, I have a short trendy cut, but in all my research I have noticed that most state winner have beautiful long hair. Even the women who do well at Miss USA usually have long hair. Any suggestions I really want to do my best and make it all the way to Miss USA!

Hi everyone -

I am considering becoming a pageant consultant but I am not quite sure what to charge my clients. Should I charge by the hour or by a fixed fee? There is a young woman who is entering a state pageant and she wants me to prepare her. I have given plenty of pageant advice to several women and even trained some of them to walk and how to handle interviews, but I was never paid for it. Now I am thinking of giving advice as a professional. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

I usually think that I'm kind of good when it comes to pageant trivia but for this I'm stuck. When Rhode Island crowned Kristina Primavera for 2010 it was the third year in a row they crowned a former teen. Amy Diaz won Teen in 2001, Alysha Castonguay in 2002 and Kristina Primavera in 2003. All these three have now held Miss titles in the same order for 2008,2009,2010. Has this happened before?

Indy: "Oh for crying out loud!!!"

IndyBetterHalf: "Hey!! Because of you, I am able to name each country in the Top 6 at Miss Universe 1995....so I think you can just sit there and deal with this show!"

....."cricket sounds".....

So, I've been wondering, dear Pageant Centralers.....have you ever won over any of your friends or family and turned them into a pageantry fan....and then regretted it later on? Did this person become better than you at guessing the outcome of a pageant? Have you ever had to remove a friend or family member from the room during a televised pageant because they were heckling you or the contestants?

I'm interested in hearing your stories involving you and non- or newly-minted pageant fans!!

It's September 1990 and the Atlantic City Convention Hall is filled with the excitement and glamour of the 1991 Miss America Pageant! As a judge, you are judging the talent competition...up first, we have Cynthia White, Miss Oklahoma.She is an accomplished pianist who performs a soaringly beautiful arrangement of Sergei Rachmaninoff's "Rhapsody On A Theme Of Paganini"....Then next, we have Miss Texas, Suzanne Lawrence, whos country vocal to Patsy Cline's "Sweet Dreams" fills the Convention Center with melodious sound..... Miss Mexico - 3-5 p.m. eastern. Check your local listings for correct time and channel. (It's 41 in the metropolitan NYC area.)

This seems to conflict a bit with the Internet broadcast of Miss Venezuela, which is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. in Caracas. Of course, that pageant usually drags on so long that people in the Pacific time zone will be finished with supper by the time they announce the winner. I'm assuming Univision will telecast the cut-down version the following weekend, on Sept. 26 or 27.

It's a September Central and South American embarassment of riches! Would a Saturday afternoon Pageant Chat be out of the question?

1. My left big toe, all decade. It is always flawless. That toe is blessed. Wouldn't change a thing about it.

2. Right second toe. It had one scrape in 2005 but otherwise helps me grip the floor better than any other.

3. (Tie) Fourth toes, both feet. These toes have the cutest little hairs growing out of the top -- like two hairs on each. And the hairs hardly ever need trimming!

4. Piggy that stayed home, left foot.

5. Third toe, right foot. This toe is my soft spot. Some people say it doesn't deserve this high a ranking, but soft spots are sometimes irrational that way.

6. Piggy that went wee-wee-wee, left foot.

7. (Tie) Third toe, left foot, and piggy that went wee-wee-wee, right foot. These toes look nothing alike but at this level it's hard for me to separate out my fondness of one over the other.

8. Right big toe. Satan's toe spawn. Seems to have a blood blister under the nail 9 months of every 12. Continues stubbing itself, hence the blister. TV stand, living room coffee table, that nasty concrete bench at the beach -- all are magnets to this toe. If I could reverse the result of any one toe, this would be it.

Tonight is finals night for NBC's "America's Got Talent" and we'd love you to watch and vote for the country/operatic trio, "The Texas Tenors". Not only are they the best of the remaining bunch, but there's a real huge pageant connection. JC (the one on the left!) is the husband of Jen Vannatta, former Miss Kansas MAO and is the brother-in-law of John Vannatta, one of the most wonderful directors in the USA system. John and his sister, along with many other great people, run Vanbros. They direct MO, KS, NE, OK, and AR and in addition direct 8 states in the Mrs. USA system. Phew---that's a lot of directing! Watch and cast your votes, and Monday Night Pag Chat peeps, this means you too! I'll be at a "watch party" cheering on the Texas Tenors.

Wanted to say and mention that I had a great
time judging my 1st MAO local this weekend in DE,
and that 3 PC'ers were on hand and that I had the
distinct pleasure to meet and get to know,
Marylander, NJ Gurl, and myself, and who knows who
else from PC land was in attendance.

I learned so much this weekend about judging,
contestants, preparation, the stage, etc...
Thank you to Miss Merlin and MLOP for your last
minute judges check on me, and for prepping me!
The panel was distinguished and I had the honored
pleasure to meet many formers and currents including
Erika Grace Powell who is a former Top 10 at
Miss America now living in NY, Chelsea Rodgers
former DCUSA, Cheryl Crowe, former DEUSA,
Linda Kurtz, Becky Bledsoe former DEMAO,
Currents Miss Philadelphia Ryann Richardson,
Miss National Sweethart Shannon Beam...and so many more.

As my bio was being announced, I felt goosebumps
and a flowing of inside pride being there and wanted to
do it again and again..Thanks PC for giving me that edge
to want to judge, amazing people that you are.

I like this era of Miss World cause there are a lot of MUO crossovers. The most notable of them all would be Miss Bermuda Gina Swainson. Also , you can see Maria Conchita Alonso during the 1975 crowning.

You have to follow the link because the Miss AZ site is copyrighted, but I guarantee it will be worth it (in an extremely ugly dress sort of way). It makes me sad since she has red hair, and I believe you can be modest without being frumpy or ugly BUT with the right styling, this redhead could be very cute!

5. Kristi Glakas – Come on, you know deep down you really wanted her to win!
