Who was YOUR "little darling" of the 2009 pageant competition year?

She might not have been your favorite, or your prediction, going into the pageant....but after the dust had settled, you were head-over-heels in love with her! She has rocketed to the top of your Christmas Card list, and you are THISCLOSE to stalking her (just kidding)!

My Little Darling for 2009 is Jackie Geist, Miss California!

Who is your Little Darling???

Let's pretend that titleholders from the same states that comprised the Top 15 at Miss America 2009 are announced as the Top 15 at Miss America 2010. If that happened (and it's, of course, not terribly likely), the Top 15 would be:

Miss Alabama - Liz Cochran
Miss Arkansas - Sarah Slocum
Miss California - Kristy Cavinder
Miss Delaware - Heather Lehman
Miss DC - Jennifer Corey
Miss Florida - Rachael Todd
Miss Georgia - Emily Cook
Miss Hawaii - Raeceen Woolford
Miss Indiana - Nicole Pollard
Miss Iowa - Anne Langguth
Miss Kentucky - Mallory Ervin
Miss Michigan - Nicole Blasczyk
Miss New York - Alyse Zwick
Miss South Dakota - Morgan Peck
Miss Tennessee - Stefanie Wittler

So, if this happened, who would YOU select as 4RU, 3RU, 2RU, 1RU and Miss America 2010?

Anybody up for a little gown fun in October....???

With Halloween coming up, I thought it might be fun to do something with orange-colored gowns. Maybe get PCer's to contribute pics and then create an eye-numbing collage of orange fabric.....or how about a "Coolest Orange Gown" contest? If you are interested, reply to this post.

Quincy, Massachusetts...the City of Presidents. But more importantly, the city of Presidential wives.

Both John and John Quincy Adams were born right down the street from where I live. Abigail Smith Adams was born practically next door to my childhood home.

Abigale became the first American woman to be both wife and mother if a president. She was the first first lady to live in the white house and lent her education and intelligence to her husbands work.

Her famous quote to her husband, "remember the ladies" is the first American reference to equal rights. Abigail was ahead of her time.

Quincy is now a huge multiple-cultural city, rich in traditions and full of history. But more recently, Quincy, with two public high schools has been hit by hard economic times. As parents lose jobs and incomes the children in this city suffer.

To help those young women in the high schools, I have created ABIGAILS ARMOIRE. A collection of donated gowns, shies and jewelry to let every girl on the city attend her prom without having to worry about not having the funds for that special day.

In the next few weeks, i'll be meeting with school officials, stores, beauty salons, makeup artists and even a storage facility to get this project rocking!

Just imagine Abigail opening the doors of her armoire to ensure the generations of intelligent women that came after her could have that one magical night.

If you can donate gowns, jewelry, shoes or even funds, please contact me. There will be a board of volunteers set up and a bank account for donations.

Thanks for reading and check your closet!!

Regards,
Pat Gentry

With Miss NJ just 2 weeks away I want to through my support behind my good friend Alyssa Campanella! As some may know I am NOT competing this year. I just got a promotion and a raise at work so my focus has been elsewhere. Alyssa has everything to win not only NJ but USA. She's gorgeous and her figure is to die for (she put on nearly 20lbs of muscle). She's already a sucessful model with a real love and support for the Miss Universe Organization. Ok enough with my biased dissertation....

This is my third time to see TN USA in person. This was my first time to see the Teen. Only thing I'm gonna say about the teen is that, I had the girl as 1st RU to Deborah Hudgins. I sat next to her parents but the girl rocked all night....OH! and the winners gown is phenominal I'll say that.....

Onto Miss. I thought this was a weak year for TN USA. I always like the cheesy openings and Rachel and Allison were cleaver. Stormi and Kristen have got to be two of the most energetic and fun girls I have ever seen. Kristens show of emotion was soo touching. You could really tell she had an awesome year.

Opening impressions... Only one I've got is of Jessica Hibbler, as soon as she came out I had her to win... now onto the pageant itself.

Top 15 swimsuit was great. Stacy Reigle won this phase hands town with Tucker Perry a close second. This is the only way I can see Jessica not winning she wasn't as toned as the other two girls mentioned This phase further proved to be a weak year. Any other year Tiffany Stroud would not have made the top 15 with her miniature love handles. (I still love Tiffany though).

Onto gown. There were A LOT of Miss girls with teen gowns IMO. Brittany Wellsfry being one of them but it hugged her body great!!! Tiffany Stroud wore an orange gown that did nothing for her. I think it might have been ok in a different color and I hope she comes back tones and ready next year. Jessica Hibbler won this part of the contest hands down with Tucker Perry and Stacy Reigle in distant second and third. Side note Breanna Mader is lovely but was sorta just there for me....

I had 4 of the top 5... I did not have Brittany Wellsfry in the top 5 I thought they were going to give it to Tiffany Stroud being as how TN LOVES their teens.. but was not disappointed at all. I still thought Jessica Hibbler had this hands down.
My placements

Jessica Hibbler
Tucker Perry
Stacy Reigle
Breanna Mader
Brittany Wellsfry

As soon as they called Jessica 4th I realized why she was probably placed there. She could barely hold a smile. This was not a "I worked hard and thought I was going to win, darn" upset but it wasn't like she threw a fit. It was just obvious she thought she had it in the bag and was visibly angry. Now remember this is just my opinion and still hope Jessica comes back cuz she was LOVELY.

TNBoy told me after the first year I was there that Tucker was going to win someday and sure enough he was correct. Tucker will be a great representative and I was so glad to see she left the drag queen that usually does her make up at home and lightened it up. Tucker was consistent and I'm pleased. As usual had a lovely time with QBAN and his Entourage and TNBoy and his friend Kathy....

Anyway do with this as you please just thought I'd add my two cents :-D

This is my current Top 8 for Miss USA 2010:

MISS USA 2010: TENNESSEE - I didn't watch the pageant but am really liking the way Tucker Perry looks in photos. In past years she looked kinda Country Music Hall of Famish or something, and I thought it was sexy in a big hair, overdone Southern girl kinda way. Now she has toned it down and looks really good.

1RU: TEXAS - I can honestly see this girl running away with the whole thing depending on the final package. Looks amazing in competition photos from a distance, but up close candids have quelched the fire. I'm rooting for her to come and take the pageant by storm.

2RU: WYOMING - Lots of potential. I don't think she can waltz into Miss USA 2010 looking like she did at Miss Wyoming USA, but with some tweaking she will look very hot!

3RU: WISCONSIN - Another delegate with a lot of potential. Needs to work on refining the physique. Attractive facially.

4RU: MICHIGAN - I think she's in contention to do well. One to watch!

6. MONTANA - Good delegate, a little too cutesy and teenish for my taste, but I can see her in the Top 15.

7. RHODE ISLAND - She's okay and does have a nice swimsuit physique. Would fit right into a Miss America lineup.

8. FLORIDA - Sounds like she's a great girl, but I am just not seeing her being competitive in the Miss USA field of players.

Tucker Perry
Brittany Wellsfry
Kaitlin Walker
Terra Bell
Stacy Reigle

Also like: Kelly Dutton, Jessica Hibler, Doris Kochan, Ashton Inman and Tiffany Stroud

Lots of Miss America crossovers, including Brittany Wellsfry, who made Top 10 this year at Miss Texas, Stacy Reigle, who made Top 15 this year at Miss Tennessee, and Kelly Dutton and Jessica Hibler, who competed for Miss Tennessee 2008! Also competing is Tiffany Stroud, Miss TN TUSA 04 and 4RU at Miss TUSA. Her headshot is awful but she's a total pageant pro so I'm sure she'll look like it when she competes.
