I'll tell you about my experience with Pat.....One of our local tracks, the only track in Michigan mind you was scheduled to have their "state'race". Well there is a rule saying a track must have in x amount of races in for the year before it can hold such a race. OK fine but unfortunatly the weather had been horribly rainy and we had to have several cancelations leaving us short of the required amount of races. We called Joe and plead our case asking for a exception, even offering to hold 2 unscheduled races on a weeknight prior to the date of the "state race" this would have given us the number of required races. He said it was out of his hands and told me to call Pat and discuss it with him.

Once I finally got ahold of Pat and explained to him that we had met all other requirements including the track paying to advertise this race in the pit stop he flat out told me noway could we hold our race. So I did somemore research and found two other tracks that had already held their "state race" that year and had not had the required amount of races prior. I called Pat back, thinking I had found a loop hole and could work this out. His response floored me.....these other 2 tracks had been sanctioned tracks for years so therefore they had in fact ran the required amount of races!!! Huh??? That is not what the rule book says and I pointed that out to him, he got extremely loud and called me a few choice names and hung up on me. My husband tried several times to call him back and the spineless whimp wouldn't answer, the track owner tried several times to call him and got no response.

So that was that, the track pulled it's sanctioning and went outlaw, holding it's own "state race" on the scheduled date. Great way to conduct business hey? Wonderful way to welcome a "new track" and help them grow hey? Then they wonder why they can't attract and keep tracks and racers, what really gets me is the fact that the members continue to vote this guy back into office.....I want to scream HELLO WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!! As far as I'm concerned the members and the organization have gotten exactly what they deserve, absolutely nothing.
