Subject: Fate...sorting it out.

That's a tough question. But it seems that there are two schools of thought here. One, that we all have free will and can freely decide our own fate. Two, that fate is already defined and there is nothing we can really do about it.

I think it's sort of a combination of the two. Chaos, being in control, at least for the most part, says that all things are subject to change. One action leads to various and numerous reactions.

However, there are those who have a special gift. They can see the outcomes of these actions and reaction before they happen. This, seems to me, gets interpretted as "fate". As if it's already set in motion. But it's a tricky debate. Does this gift make the visions a sure thing? Or does it simply forewarn of things that might come to pass if we stay on our present course? Myself, being without this particular gift, have no clue what the answer is. But it seems to me, that simply being aware of what the prophecy is, one could easily change that course and alter its outcome. At the same time, NOT knowing the prophecy would elude to it actually coming to pass.

In short, I think if we are educated about the prophecies, we could change them. If we are ignorant to them, then they will probably happen just as described.
