Subject: An introduction and tribute...

Greetings Comsie followers and GFD readers...

Incase you haven't seen me around, my name is McAwesome (I'm awesome, of course =D), and I'm one of the new editions to the Shack community. I'd like to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself -- I hail from Massachusetts and am a 22 year old on/off college student studying at UMass. I've been a silent shack lurker for roughly 2 years now, and I feel it's time to make myself known around here =D. It's wonderful to finally join this group, and I look forward to getting to know all of you during the coming months!

Per Comsie's request, (sorry to put you on the spot Com, but it gives me an excuse to shamelessly promote myself! =D), I'm posting a song I wrote a while back that was inspired by GFD. I call it, "Ode to the Night", and I will put a link to it at the bottom of this post. Now, even though I'm awesome **snickers**, one thing that's NOT awesome about me is my piano playing. If any of you play, and think you could do this song more justice than me, please email me and I'll send you the sheet music. Otherwise, I hope y'all enjoy! It's a dark, atmospheric, jazzy tune...I did my best with it, but given the fact that my keyboard is about 100 years old (plus I can't play for shit) makes the experience a bit less than satisfactory (To quote Comsie, "hehehe" =D). But anyway, I hope you all enjoy it. It makes me think of a desserted cityscape late at night - nobody in sight, except for a few vampires (e.g. the lot's inhabitants) trying to scrounge a living and make the best of their existence.

I look forward to see you all on the boards!
