To vampires who hunt in packs, a 'Blood Major' is a reference to the amount of blood that each vampire gets from a single donor. The vampire who has a blood major is usually the hungriest, or the one who needs the blood refill the most. They can be given a majority of the donor's liquids in order to satisfy their thirst and prevent a future blood lust (which would be bad for the whole of the group). However, sometimes a blood major is taken by the strongest and perhaps 'greediest' of the bunch. When two or more vampires draw blood from the same body, this drain can be felt...as the blood supply seems to be sucked out rather violently in a different direction.

Some pack hunter vampires work to provide an equal share for all involved. Others fight for their sustenance like angry hyenas, adopting more of a 'first come, first serve' attitude and taking all the blood they can get before the donor is drained dry.

Pack hunting is always done in unison. Always at the same time. And everyone either gets what they can during the huint, or they have to do without until the pack is ready to hunt again. So a blood major is an important part of the pack hunter mentality. One that has to be learned qickly, before starvation becomes a serious problem for the less agressive vampires in the group.
