When I found this site, one of the first stories I tried to read was "GFD". I had never really "gotten into" vampires. So I read all of the shorts and then went back to "GFD"-----and fell head over heels in love with it!!!
Basically, my "SM" history reads the same as above, so I'd bet serious moola that you would like it!
