Subject: Dark Question for 5/6

Some may think of it as a gift, others a curse. And many have drifted between both sides of the argument as the years go by. It is the eternal burden of the vampire to be frozen in the form that they were on the night they crossed over into darkness. Never aging, never growing, never being able to change at all.

Every sleep cycle heals all wounds, and reverses all changes. If you didn't have your ears pierced when you were bitten, it would do you no good to get them pierced afterward. They would only last for one night. If you were a virgin when you crossed over, you'll return to a virginal state every evening when you wake up. Tattoos, muscle gain, even something as simple as a hair cut...pointless. The only exception seems to be certain blood diseases and intoxicants, that seem to stay with a vampire longer than normal.

The question is...if you were to be changed, and knew that you were going to live in that same body for the rest of eternity...what age would you prefer to be frozen at? What experiences would you want to have before taking that leap? What changes would you make before being stuck in that form forever?

Once you engage in the big sleep...there won't be any way to go back. So be careful what you choose. It is quite permanent. And remember...if you choose an age younger than you are now, you will practically be 'erasing' all of the human experiences you've had since then. Someone as young as 14 may have never driven a car, had a sip of alcohol, seen what you've seen, or done what you've done. A life in darkness might make many of those experiences impossible.

So choose. What age, and why? What changes, and why?

Or do you think you could live with 'any' decision for the rest of your days?
