Subject: Dark Question For 6/4

There is a well known vampire myth (or is it fact?) that choosing to become a sire to a human that is sick, wounded, or dying, could possibly 'cure' them of their ailments while crossing over into darkness. Healing them completely, and giving them another chance at life.

However, doing so, means becoming one of the undead. It means leaving the world of man. It means forsaking the sun. It means hunting for their very survival. You save them from an inevitable death...but what curse are you giving them in return? And what moral conflicts come into play when deciding whether or not to let them die without trying to save them? Or saving them at the expense of their soul being tossed into eternal darkness?

This week...ask yourself...if you saw someone who was dying (unconscious, so they couldn't give you 'consent' before making your decision)...and you knew that you could save them by giving them the dark gift...would you do it? Would you give them a chance to live?

And if they WERE awake...and begged for you to help them...would you do it then? What do you think?
