This situation has made underground 'sanctuaries' a neccessary part of crossing over. They exist in small clusters, where protection and refuge is available to any vampire who needs a place to lay low and rest their heads during the hours of daylight.
However, running these small communities is a highly dangerous business. Infiltration could prove deadly. Security must be on hand at all times. Transportation must be provided in case of emergencies. And don't forget...housing a renegade vampire in a sanctuary is in direct violation of the Elder's order! To be found operating such a system is punishable by death...to you and to all of the people in your care.
SO...thinking about it, would you ever involve yourself in the operation of a vampire sanctuary? These vampires need your help, they need a place to stay, and they may even be innocent of the crimes they've been accused of. Who would you be to turn them away to be murdered in the streets?
Then again...you don't know these people. They might also be GUILTY! You may be housing murderers, rapists, thieves, and scoundrels, in this place. And the danger of being caught brings with it the heaviest of consequences for you and everyone around you.
So what would you do, if you had the space to offer to a group of rogue vampires and had to make a choice? Do you turn them away to face the crimes they've committed? Or do you risk execution by giving these strangers a fighting chance?
Be honest! You only get one chance at this...
