Hauzen laughed, long and hard, his gunshot fire bursts of...happy...blasting into Amon's face. He continued to hold Amon by his jaw, shaking his head back and forth, and moving Amon's as well, clearly amused.
Shcleifen was laughing also, but it was not Schleifen who told Amon the joke.
Ï'm afraid not, Herr Van Ras." Hauzen spoke carefully. "You see, this is not the first time we have had complaints made about you. We have had a complaint from an official who we sent to your camp that you seemed to have 'too much money' and too many fine things. He was suspicious, so naturally, he came to me, my office of investigation."
He grinned.
"The boy who works in your office is no jew. He is a German spy trained to root out people like you in the S.S. We sent him to originally search your records for any kind of traces of black marketing, and to observe you. We passed him off as a jew- it wasn't so hard, I'm afraid, he had a VERY ugly mutti- and, well, he is back here now. We have extracted him from your camp, and I regret to inform you that he will not be burned there."
