"I had a corndog. I'm fine." He shrugged his shoulder briskly to try and shake David off, though he knew it wouldn't work.

Truth be told, he hadn't been able to finish the corndog. One bite and his stomach had turned into a writhing hellserpent in protest, shrieking at him from inside and digging its fangs into his organs. He had given the corndog to Sammy, who was already delirious and overstimulated, now left gazing up at the rides with a corndog clutched in his hand.

The girl made his mouth water. He could almost hear her blood pumping, but the sound of David's voice in his ear overpowered all else. As always.
