I personally want to all invisible beings to be kept strictly to people's private belief, whether they choose to believe in the Lords of Kobol or the God that loves you, yes he does!. Where is the Colonial Secular Society? Cause I'd totally be handing out leaflets for them? ;)

I see what you mean, but the BSG society has always been quite religious. It's...canon. ;- )

As RM himself said, the beliefs are interesting because they reveal how the characters see the world and themselves. Cylons are creatures, they have been created by mankind so they worship one god; the 12 tribes worship the Lord of Kobols because in a way they see themselves as powerful gods.

Baltar wants to be unique, special, hence his new monolisthic faith, I guess.

As long as they don't end the show with showing supernatural stuff such as angels or beings of light sent by the only God, it's fine by me.

Beliefs must remain beliefs, and gods must remain in the characters' head.

One thing that bothered me btw, was that scene in which Caprica holds Baltar and gets him up and for once it looks as if there's indeed an invisible spirit holding him.

The near confirmation that headSix is an entity capable of effecting the pyhsical world, I'm hand waving it as being done mostly for a giggle without them thinking of the implication.
