Again I seem to be left fairly speechless. Amazing...and edwards james almos was beyond wonderful. Oh and Lee finally stepped up and interested me!

their journey's at an end, and that's how it ends? Earth in ruins?

[> Tigh rocks ! -- Chani, 14:20:23 06/14/08 Sat [1]

I couldn't love Saul Tigh more than I do now. Bill's breakdown broke my heart. BTW the Bill/Lee scene was so nice, and I loved how the Lee/Kara scene kinda forshadowed it...I guess Leland is really a grown-up now (well, maybe not the jacket scene was a bit too much).

Gaius' speech to D'Anna was great too. And Laura wrapping his torso. *g*

And Caprica Six stroking Saul's arm on Earth...what a sweet detail!

I've got to watch the episode again.

Except maybe Caprica, who is probably not so much a prisoner anymore (it would be a helluva double-standard if Lee grants the Final Four amnesty, makes peace with D'Anna's cylon contigent but still keeps Caprica locked up).

I love that they got us to Earth so early, and it's like "... so, what now?" The biggest gamble that both the Colonials and the 2-6-8 Cylons have been counting on, and it pays off in the worst way (I'm reminded of one of Jacob's key BSG themes that he talks about on TWoP - "Everything you want, in the worst possible way". They've found Earth, and now they have to deal with it).

On a totally superficial note, as hot as Leoben's been looking these days - I miss the crazy shirts!

The sense of loss at the end was truly devastating. Where the hell they are going to go from here is just beyond me.

Frakked things up here. Gone to Kobol. See ya there.

[> Adama Drool -- Esmerelda, 20:14:36 06/14/08 Sat [1]

I think that may have been the most traumatic thing I've ever seen on tv, there's still a voice in my head screaming 'ewww, I can't believe Olmos drooled on Bamber, that's so not how I wanted to see saliva swapped between two guys on BSG!'.

[> [> An amazing scene ! -- Chani, 21:07:19 06/14/08 Sat [1]

The father crying and drooling on the son, just like baby Lee probably used to cry and drool on papa Adama! And the way Lee kissed his father's head...

that's so not how I wanted to see saliva swapped between two guys on BSG!

LOL

Now forget about Lee kissing his father's head...

I did think both of them rocked the scene and applaud the fact they were both willing to be so raw and real in it, as drool and snot is often a feature of actual crying, and it does often end up on the person you are sobbing on, but my inner 8 year old is still aghast. :P

[> Pan Shot -- FoX, 22:15:38 06/14/08 Sat [1]

That scene at the end where the entire cast is standing there utterly forlorn in this bleak landscape and the camera pans over them--genius.

And the choral soundtrack gave me chills.

They've never really used vocals before (I know they used them in Exodus but can't recall any other time) so it was a nice switchup. The callbacks to the Dylan Four music were nicely done (thank GOD they didn't start reciting the lyrics again), and the bagpipes of freedom turned up! They are always guaranteed to send chills down my spine (in a good way, natch).
