Subject: That's an interesting question too

if the show is humanist, the question of humanity being worth saving is one of the key themes of the show.

While the humans have done plenty of things that my reaction ranges from disagreeing with to being disgusted by, I think the ultimate 'tragedy' of the cylons is that while they think they're 'better' than us, they really aren't, they're just as capable of doing terrible things and are more like us than either side would usually care to admit and ultimately the question isn't does humanity deserve to survive for me, but what the hell gives the cylons the right to decide.

ultimately the question isn't does humanity deserve to survive for me, but what the hell gives the cylons the right to decide.

and the answer to that question might be human nature...

It's just human to think you can decide such things, it's just human to do both the worst and the best. It's human to want to wipe an entire race out and it's human to refuse to do so because it would be a crime against humanity, etc.
