from a spectator's standpoint, Indy was the worst. I saw the entire race from the press room so I had windows facing the front and backstretch, but it was incredibly tough to see much on the backstretch because the place is so damn big, and the front stretch was so narrow I might have seen a hundred yards or so. I can't imagine what Bill was seeing down at track level.

BUT of all the races I've covered, none treated me as well as Indy did. I still have my hard card, with my photo on it, on my office wall. That is one place I will never forget. and Bill & I touched the bricks.
