Every once in while a band comes out with a cd that touches the soul of an individual. A compelation of songs that when pieced together on an album make up a work of art. An album that reaches a person in ways that reflect their life, or simply an album that when they listen to it nothing can bring them down and it liftens their spirit to unmeasureable heights. In the opinion of myself these following ten albums have been just these types of albums. Albums with songs that make car rides enjoyable, songs that you sing at the top of your lungs even off key, songs that bring back a flood of memories or sketch memories into your mind forever, songs that bring friends a common bond. Starting with number 10 and counting down to my number one album, these are the top ten albums of Willie Irwin:

10) Oasis-(What's the Story)Morning Glory: Oasis is the band compared to the Beatles, which is a huge compliment in it's self...and this album brought this British Icon band to America. With songs like Wonderwall,Don't look Back in Anger and my personal favorite Champagne Supernova this makes Oasis number 10 on my list...

9)Pearl Jam-Live On Two Legs: This is Pearl Jam's first live album and a great one it is...with a live sound of all their hit songs and a performance of some of my favorite songs such as Elderly Women.., Nothingman, and Better Man makes this an enjoyable listening cd. The only thing missing is a live performance of Yellow Ledbetter.

8)Fastball-All the Pain Money Can Buy: my sleeper pick coming in at number eight...this cd combines a jazzical alternitive style with every song listenable...perfect summer time cd!! Hits include The Way and Out of my Head.

7)Red Hot Chili Peppers-Californication: Many great songs have been produced by this band, but the height of which Californication came out was an era that brings back memories of my friends...A great mix of music ranging from funk rock (all around the world) to a slower alternitave style (scar tissue, otherside)...also road trippin' will always remind me of our New Braunfels trip...

6)U2- Joshua Tree: Classic Album from a Hall of Fame band. Joshua Tree gave U2 the title as one of the world's biggest bands. Any song from this album could be a hit, with hits already including Streets Have no name, Still haven't found, and With or Without you...this album defines the U2 sound....

5) Our Lady Peace- Happiness is not a fish you can catch: This album could easily be replaced by their preceeding album Clumbsy, but because of the memories I share with this cd puts it in front...every song on this cd is listenable and ties with many memories...Potatoe Girl, Thief, Waited are all noteable hits and who can erase the memory of floating threw space during Stealing Babies...

4)Bush-Sixteen Stone: Classic Bush album with a mix of sound that only Bush's Gavin Rosedale can pull off...one of my first purchased cd's, with songs ranging from everything zen, little things, comedown, machinehead, and perhaps one of the best songs of all time Glycerine...seeing Bush live in concert twice reminds me of great memories too...a wonderful album !!!

3)Counting Crows- August and Everything After: Counting Crows is a superb band that can make great sound and stimulating lyrics, and this cd has it all...not one song on this cd can be skipped over, from begining to end is an enjoyable album...

We are winding down to the final two albums of all time...the next two bands careers really took off after the release of these next two albums (and i am not talking about Dynamite Hack)...they came out around the same time and their careers seem to run parallel...so with out final a due here are the final two albums....

2) Matchbox20-Yourself or someone like you: Was perhaps my favorite band during the height of its prime, Rob Thomas's lyrics and vocals I think are some of the best in the business...so many songs on this cd have been one of my favorites at on time or another...from begining to end every song on this cd is enjoyable...could easily be number one if it had more sentimental reasons but with pure music this is simply one of the best !!

and number one....

1) Third Eye Blind-Semi-Charmed Kinda Life: definitly the album that brings back all of High School and its glory...good times and friends and girlfriend are all reflected in this album...from the concert, to deeply listening to the lyrics, to cruising in the car this cd has been there through it all...whether it's a fast alternative sound like losing a whole year, narcolepsy, or jumper, to a slower ballad like how's it going to be, motorcycle drive by, or God of Wine, this album has it all...with no suprise Third Eye Blind takes my number one spot...

**Alternative Albums that barely did not make the list:Live-Throwing Copper, Wyclef Jean-The Carnival, Eve6, Jimi Hendrix-Ultimate Experience, Bon Jovi-Greatest Hits,Sublime-Sublime, And Blink 182-Enema of the State

There they are my top ten albums...now top ten songs I think would be really hard to do because they change so much but I did enjoy making my list for this...can't wait to hear yours Matt and I know I might have left out some Albums, but if I can't remember them now than they probaly don't deserve to be on the list...can't wait for you to watch Survivor and it was so good to hear your voice last night...i am so glad me and you can do stuff like this, just me and you !! later mate..that's it for me...Willie Irwin
