The Scottish folktale "The Milk-White Doo" by Elizabeth Grierson is focused on non-human being, it refered to as supernatural one. He is Curly-Locks, a young boy, who after was killed by his stepmother transformed in a bird and saved his family against this deceitful woman. That boy is a myth, which is a strongly social and cultural control.
Primarily, the protagonist carries the conceptual spiritual world with Christianity such as the plot in "The Milk-White Doo", you have to follow a straight life otherwise you pay for that. People try to control themselves because they are afraid of Godīs punishment. According that, the social construction is changed and due to this change the society build new rules, new laws and follow new ways.
The other point of view is the manipulation between the good and the bad. In this folktale is showed clearly who is a bad person and who is a good one. It is reinforced by the suffering from the boy and his family and the torture from his stepmother.
However, "The Milk-White Doo" has an effect on the Scottish society. It is a folktale, which people bring the moral of this story to into their own lives and the myth reflects like a mirror from each other.
