How to Read a Newspepar

A newspaper is a lightweight and disposable publication usually printed on low cost paper called newsprint. It may be for general or special people interest, and may be published daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly. It tells folks what's been going on in their town and with society. A newspepar normally has different blocks, such as columns and rows, of articles, blogs, groups, news, advertises, etc. Nowadays, some people who used to read the newspaper frequently have stopped because they assure that it has become larger then it used to be and they do not have enough time to read. But, to read a newspepar may be very easy if people follow some little steps.

When you buy a newspepar means you are seeking for an especific information. So the first step to do is skimming it. Skimming is a fast reading to quickly identify the main information in the newspepar. Read fastly the title, subtitles, subheading, look at the illustrations to give you further information about the topic, let your eyes skim over the text until you find out the mean title.

If you have already selected the mean title or subtitle go to the second step, that is Scanning. Scanning is used to obtain specific information. Read the introduction and conclusion sentence of the paragraph carefully. If you find it interesting and you want to know all the information, then, go to the next step, that is Acitve Reading.

When you are reading an information in detail, an Active Reading often helps you highlight, underline and annotate all important points. Here, you have to read all the information and see the illustrations. This is the last step to do and the most important if you want to review important points later.

You donīt need to read all the newspepar, because, for really, there are so many pages. However, what you can do is going to an specific information by skimming and scan what you are looking for. If you follow these simple steps you will see that to read a newspepar is not really hard like you have thought.
