Topic sentence: Academic Language is largely found in texts

Academic English Language is largely found in texts because writing is the main tool and vehicle to make science comunication and reseach founding. Its main purpose is to inform, describe or explain facts and concepts more concisely and precisely. It is usually written in Academic English language. To be able to read and understand the complex language of science or other subject and deal with the particularity of academic or literate register students must be trained because reading is not one simple capability. It requires decoding and metacognitive ability and is a complex task to take ideas more abstractly such as that used in academic written. Stephen Krashen (1993) has repeatedly emphasized that extensive reading is crucial for academic development since academic language is found primarily in written text. Students must be engaged to reading and writing in order to learn how to express their ideas properly. In academic writing, they must learn to produce academic language and they must plan large units of discourse, and organize them coherently. Educators must help students to deal with these complex grammatical structures to express complicated ideas and encourage students to keep contact with texts because they are excelent reliably source of academic language. Trough them students can acquire high level literacy skills and get academic success. If students are not work on it extensively, they are not getting access to this variety of language.
