Just explain the rankng process, from highest to lowest

first, there are the mares waiting to be accepted into the herd...this may take a little while and long while or they might not be accepted at all...then there are the mares that have been accepted, but they haven't been given positions...some may never get a position, but will remain just another member of the herd...then there are the broodmares...these are mares who basically are there for breeding and taking care of the young...they are among the lower ranks, as you can see...then there are the ranked mares which range from (on this board) Alpha to Gamma...now Alpha is the head of that little group, but she still has ones above her...there is the guard (or guards) whose job it is to protect the "royal family" you might say...then there are the princes and princesses then the Matriarch and Patriarch of the harem...usually, the final say is given by the head of the harem and none can outdo them for they are above all....do you get it now? If not, I'll try to explain it a little better next post :-)
