Yes there is a major Difference

What I'm writing here would Be censored/filtered on CortesIsland.com
In the early days they had an open forum with no rules , no censorship...
Now they have a censorship and a filtered forum with secret rules for posting.

I recently wrote a Comment Under "Kidney Transplant Update"

Commending The Donation of a kidney that saved someones life. This is a wonderful thing.

My Comment went on to say .. its To Bad no one came forward to save "Sue Saunders" life with a similar Organ donation.

Sue Saunders Died in Poverty. (Thats a Fact)

Lets Not Forget her....


That was My Post... It was filtered out Censored in its entirety.


Unfiltered you say..... Bobster Get your head out of your ass.... there's a big differance between the wealthy SCUM on Cortes Island and The poor Like "Sue Saunders" who Die working for them.

Is There Really A Difference?

Not knowing you, I am a bit puzzled by the comment in your posting here wherein you state, "With all due respect it is impossible to have anything resembling a normal conversation in the 'Island Life Articles' section on this website." Can you clarify this with examples of what signifiies a 'normal conversation" and demonstrate why you feel the way you do? I have used this website almost since it's very inception and find it to be an excellent source of all kinds of information - some controversial and some not. And I have never detected even a smidgeon of censorship. Civility seems to remain steadfast, and the views expressed seem to pass through the webmaster in an 'unfiltered' manner.

I have reviewed your forum and could not detect any real difference between the overall content of what is posted there and what is posted here.

Don't feel that I am in any way trying to demean what you are doing. However, I can't see that you have done anything to really improve what we already have. And saying that it offers an alternative does not hold water with me. It's no different.

But maybe I am just missing the boat and you can enlighten me.

Again, if you have strong feelings about discussing what you mean by "resembling a normal conversation,' (unless you mean that it lacks discussion over a beer which would for sure be more rewarding) I suggest that you post them here and see what falls out.
