Welcome to the board, Randall. And, yeah, other people may want to answer these questions (or at least the ones that apply to them), too.

They both do smoke. They gave me some hard lectures about smoking for a couple of weeks, but then agreed it was my decision, and have been great about it since then.

Jenn was determined to try smoking as soon as she got to college last fall. She asked a smoker in her dorm if she would teach her how to smoke. She did, and Jenn's been hooked ever since.

Here's a recent smoking experience I had a few weeks ago, that I just cut and paste from the other teen smoking board, which recently crashed:

I don’t even know where to start to tell y’all what happened today, but I’ll try.

My sister Jenn is in from college for a long weekend – she’s going back on Tuesday. I miss her a lot, and it’s great having her home, even for short visits. Many of her friends at college smoke, so she smokes in public there, and she even has smoked at home in front of her old high school friends, even though none of them smoke.

My family went to visit my aunt, uncle and cousin Ron today – they live about a half-hour from us. The whole family there smokes, too. Ron is 20 years old, works locally and lives at home. He has an older brother who’s married and who was with his wife’s family today.

My sister said that she would probably smoke with my cousin today, and I said that was fine, but that I definitely did not want to.

Ron has a good friend Gary who’s a non-smoker. My sister and I have known him for years as a nice guy, but not one either of us would want to date. Gary’s family was getting together much later today, so he came to Ron’s house to hang out for a few hours.

The 4 of us were sitting on Ron’s deck, and Ron took out a pack of cigs., and, to be nice, he asked us all if we minded if he smoked. We all, of course, said that we didn’t mind, and then my sister opened her purse, took out her pack of Newport Lights 100s and asked if Ron minded if she joined him.

The best way I can describe what happened next is to replay what I remember of the conversation:

“Whoa, Jenn, when did you start smoking?”

“When I started college last year”, Jenn said as Ron gave her a light.

“Very cool.”

“Yeah, I like it a lot, and Linda smokes, too.”

“Yeah, right!”

Jenn gently placed her cig. in my hand. I don’t know if I was madder at Jenn for putting me in that position, or at Ron for doubting that I smoked. I took a big-ass drag and inhale, and blew out a nice stream of smoke. Ron and Gary’s jaws just dropped open.

Jenn and I kept trading drags, with our hands very comfortably exchanging the cig. It felt very cool. We had another cig. about 20 minutes later, and we did the same thing trading drags.

Gary left before dinner, and then we ate with our families, had dessert, another cig., and said goodbye.

When we got home (about an hour ago), Ron had left a message for Jenn to call him.

Jenn called back, and Ron said “You know when you guys were smoking on the deck and Gary excused himself to go to the bathroom? Well, he actually told me that had such a hard-on from watching you guys smoke that he went up to my room and masturbated. You two looked pretty friggin’ amazing”.

Anyway, that’s a shortened version of what happened today, but if I ever doubted that there was a connection between smoking and sex, I don’t anymore. Smoking seems to have a pretty big affect on guys. Wow.

>4. Before your sister "turned you on to smoking," had
>you ever thought about smoking?

Oh, yeah, like a thousand times, but I knew my parents would be upset, and I didn't want to smoke behind their backs.

Thanks again for your Q's, Randall, and let's hear some A's from some others, too.
