Please allow me to introduce myself -- I'm Pat Breese, the Executive Director of the Miss Rio Rancho Scholarship Pageant, an official Miss New Mexico/Miss America local preliminary. I know you're the director of your own pageant, and I apologize, in advance for writing -- i certainly don't mean to interfere with your program or contestant recruiting. I know how difficult and time consuming it can be to organize a program such as yours.

However, with the assistance and support of many Rio Rancho businesses and corporations, we're offering young women who live, work or attend school full time in New Mexico truly the "chance of a lifetime".

A $10,000 CASH scholarship is guaranteed to the winner of the Miss Rio Rancho Scholarship Pageant (an official Miss New Mexico/Miss America local preliminary), Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the Santa Ana Star Casino.

Contestants must be between the ages of 17 and 24 and single. Scoring is based on a panel-style Personal Interview; Swimsuit Competition; Talent Presentation; and Evening Gown. No pageant experience is necessary.

The current Miss New Mexico, Jenny Marlowe, 22, an Albuquerque native and a University of New Mexico (UNM) graduate will not only entertain, but will also crown the new titleholder.

If you have any contestant that qualify, I hope you'll feel comfortable sharing this information with them. The deadline for entries is September 15th so please have them call or write as soon as possible.
