  • Zoe Saldaña es una mujer súper brillante, pero obviamente no es fácil para una latina negra navegar la política racial en los Estados Unidos. Además, en lo personal, creo que su relación con su padre puertorriqueño no fue tan estrecha como la que tuvo con su madre dominicana. Como dice el refrán, "mother is where the heart is". Como actriz negra, tuvo una relación bastante complicada con la comunidad afroamericana cuando interpretó a Nina Simone en su biografía. La comunidad afroamericana se molestó muchísimo porque una dominico-boricua interpretara el papel de una mujer negra a quien muchos consideran sagrada. O sea, Nina es Nina.
