Subject: His feet are growing at a scary rate!!! We bought new hard shoes maybe 4-6 wks before Nationals. Shoes are now too tight. I should have known when his school shoes went up 1 1/2 sizes. Yikes, this growing thing can get expensive!

[> [> Mine too! ("my shoes are getting tight!"), but DS (PC level) also has fear of breaking in new hard shoes, so he'll delay new shoes as long as possible. DS hasn't hit his "growth spurt" yet, but dd had hers about 1-1/2 yrs ago and we had new (bought used) shoes every 4 months for about a year. -- wr mom of ds/dd, 17:21:00 08/29/08 Fri [1]

[> [> [> [> It feels like people are being rather touchy about my post. I realize quite clearly that girls costumes are ridiculously expensive, and boys come no where close. It was just a post..a comment. Last time I checked, this was the "boys" ID message board. Didn't mean to hack anyone off, but it makes me kind of not want to post. Like I said, it was just a comment, not any kind of commentary on the obvious difference between boy and girl dancers. Sorry if I offended anyone... -- Irishmama, 18:37:35 08/30/08 Sat [1]

[> [> [> [> [> I wouldn't worry about it. Some people want to argue about anything. We know it's expensive for girls but as Irishmama said this is the boys board. Keep posting as we don't want this board to die off. It has been helpful to most of us.. -- Tallagirl, 14:51:54 08/31/08 Sun [1]

[> [> [> [> [> Totally agree w/ you. This is a boys board where we are not suppose to hear how 'easy the boys have it' ... Sigh. So sick of that. -- co mom, 09:16:24 09/01/08 Mon [1]

[> I feel your pain! Some mornings they look like they grew overnight. My 12 yo daughter has gone up 3 shoe sizes since spring. I'm stalling on buying her new pants until we really have to! Outgrew soft and hard shoes in 2 weeks! -- dancing mom, 06:14:34 09/08/08 Mon [1]
