Just an FYI on pricing...I just ordered a new vest for my son from Avoca for $160USD (100GBP). With shipping and everything, it come out to $240. It seems like alot of the used vests are more expensive than new, custom. For comparison, it is embroidered front and back, over 100 crystals, side zip, asym design. -- just something to think about, 07:58:04 07/28/11 Thu [1]

Trying to say this in a nice way. Avoca vests are nice, but if you go on their website, there is a huge similarity between all their vest designs. -- Another boys mom, 18:52:16 07/29/11 Fri [1]
Shauna Shiels vests are more one of a kind so it makes sense to me that they would be more expensive. Nothing against Avoca, I like their designs, I am just stating a fact.

I think if you just look at Avoca's website, I would agree. Most vests are similiar. But, this vest Anne just made for my son is completely different and unique just as he requested. Anne did a beautiful job, at a great price and we received it within a month. I wish I knew how to post a picture. -- ., 08:29:29 08/01/11 Mon [1]

And, I guess my point isn't so much about the designer. I think it is the same issue with the girls dresses, If I can go buy a new, custom costume (less fancy maybe) for my prizewinner dancer for less money than used - I am more inclined to do that. This is just my opinion. -- ., 09:35:51 08/01/11 Mon [1]
