NORTHEAST STAR PAGEANT & NORTHEAST TALENT IS OPEN TO YOUNG LADIES AGES 4-16 IN CHARLOTTE COUNTY, NEW BRUNSWICK, CANADA, AND ALL COUNTIES IN MAINE.

IT IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO GROW IN CONFIDENCE, POISE, PUBLIC SPEAKING, COMMUNICATION SKILLS, SELF DISCIPLINE, AND BEAUTY OF A TALENT, WHILE HAVING FUN AND MEETING OTHER PAGEANT FRIENDS AND HELPING OUT SOME SPECIAL FRIENDS IN MAINE..WE ENCOURAGE OUR QUEENS AND PRINCESSES TO BE VOLUNTEERS, WHETHER IT'S GIVING TO A FOOD PANTRY OR BEING PART OF A COMMUNITY EVENT.

WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER, NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, WITH ALL PROCEEDS GOING BACK TO THE PAGEANT FOR SUPPLIES, RENTAL FEES, GIFTS, CASH AWARDS, ETC. AND A DONATION "TO MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION".

A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS FROM ADMISSIONS AT THE DOOR IN 2008 WILL GO TO THE "MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION",TO MAKE A WISH COME TRUE FOR A SPECIAL YOUNG PERSON OR PERSONS IN THE STATE OF MAINE.

For "2008" we made changes to strive to make this pageant better. If you have any concerns on the Whys? Feel free to email us at northeast_star@hotmail.com and we will be happy to answer all your questions for the "2008" pageant.
We will strive to get better each year for "you" the contestant.
At first, we had it open to just the northeast but had some contestants who wanted to enter from other areas, so we opened it up to everyone to enter for 2008.

The directors of this pageant have now made the girls' significant participation in the relay on behalf of their dad all about the pageant. They have said that the girls took part in the relay on behalf of the Northeast pageant to represent it when really they were there in memory of their dad. Just a shame that the directors would make it all about their pageant when it was about the girls doing something good for their dad and others affected by cancer.
