Subject: Not just your opinion girl- that last movie- what the hell? Gilbert goes off to war? That just wasn't right. I'm a purist when it comes to L.M. Montgomery's work, it's pretty much perfection and they shouldn't mess with that. The first movie was fantastic though. I never could watch the 'Emily' series because that was treading on sacred ground and I didn't want to see what they had done to my beloved Emily, Ilse, Teddy and Perry.
In reply to: Carla 's message, "I had to laugh when I read your last sentence, susie, because I've been known to actually get up and leave in disgust when a show/movie takes way too many liberties with character and plot derived from a book. I gave up on the formerly excellent Anne of Green Gables series with Megan Follows as well as Little House on the Prairie when both went totally off the rails (IMHO)." on 11:35:35 09/21/07 Fri
