Subject: I think Love wants to completely possess Pamela and believes he has paid the price. By exchanging Casey's life for Pamela's body (and her soul), he smugly recognizes that he has the opportunity to give her the life she was born to live while damaging the relationship between Casey and Pamela. The only stumbling block is the reappearance of Casey, and a well-placed bullet will take care of that. If Love is the one to inform Casey of the affair, he loses Pamela, too. Better to wait for the day Pamela turns to him as either widow or divorcee.
